PURPOSE:To enable a smoother speed change to be attained by decreasing an engine output after the predetermined time from outputting a speed change command signal and setting this predetermined time to an optimum value in accordance with a speed change condition. CONSTITUTION:A hydraulically operated multi-step speed change mechanism A, connected to an engine E, is controlled by a speed change control means B outputting a speed change command signal of shift up or down being based on the preset speed change characteristic. In this case, an output decrease means C, which decreases an output of the engine after the predetermined time from outputting the speed change command signal, is provided. While a change means D, changing the predetermined time by this output decrease means C in accordance with a speed change condition, is provided. The speed change condition contains various factors, related to a speed change shock, such as a speed change shift mutually different before and after a speed change and a throttle opening generating a change of the line pressure in a hydraulic circuit. |
