PURPOSE: To decrease lipid level in poultry and to increase the lean/fat ratio by compounding a specified compd. and a salt of this compd. and an org. or inorg. base, the salt which is allowed from viewpoints of medical care, into a feed for poultry. CONSTITUTION: This feed for poultry contains (A) a compd. expressed by the formula and (B) an effective amt. of an agent to prevent production of lipid which is selected from salts allowable for medical care and salts of the compd. (A) and an org. or inorg. base. The compd. expressed by the formula is cestan, bellini, plant, etc. As for the agent to prevent production of lipid, tolrestat, sodium tolretstat, tetramethylammonium tolretstat, N-(6-methoxy-5- heptafluoropropyl-1-naphthoyl, etc., can be used. Especially, tolrestat is preferable. The amt. of the agent to prevent production of lipid in the feed is generally about >=1ppm, and preferably 5 to 50ppm. |
