摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To quickly heat iron scrap to high temp. at high heat efficiency by making injection gas velocity from top blowing lance higher than high temp. gas velocity ascending from a tuyere at furnace bottom of a converter charging the iron scrap. CONSTITUTION:Kerosene from outer tube in the double tube tuyere 2 arranged at furnace bottom of the converter 1 charging the iron scrap 3 and combustion improving gas from the inner tube, are injected to burn the kerosene and generate the high temp. gas. Then, the oxygen blowing is always controlled so that the blowing oxygen velocity V2 shown in the equation II from the top blowing lance 5 is higher than the ascending velocity V1 shown in the equation I for developed high temp. gas (V2>V1). Wherein, in the equation I, F0: bottom blowing oxygen gas flow rate (Nm<3>/hr), F1: gas flow rate except oxygen from bottom blowing (Nm<3>/hr), D: inner diameter of lining brick in the converter (m), in the equation II, F: top blowing total oxygen rate (Nm<3>/hr), N: number of nozzle in the top blowing lance, L: oxygen blowing height (m) (distance from top surface of scrap to the lance tip), theta: inclining angle ( deg.) of the lance hole. By this method, heat transfer time to the iron scrap is secured and exchange of heat is facilitated.</p>
