A mine-clearing assembly comprises two rotating wheels 11 which are arranged to be supported in the direction of travel in front of a support vehicle 1, and are displaced relative to one another transverse to the direction of travel. At least one of the two wheels 11 is rotationally driven, the other wheel 11 being free-running. An endless chain or belt 19 extends around the two wheels and bears striking members 12, 13 distributed along the circumference, which are intended to throw aside mines on or in the surface of the ground, or to destroy the mines encountered.
