A method for forming a hot stamping foil comprises (a) printing desired pictures onto an (un)transparent substance (i.e. paper, plastics, glass) with colored oil-type offset ink and solvent-type adhesive synthetic resin varnish; (b) presscoating metallic sheet by a heat roller; and (c) protectively coating with the varnish (mixt. of vinyl chloride/vinyl acetate copolymer, cyclohexanone, adhesive, solvent and hardener) to be 0.1-4mm thick.
