A swivel arm unit for a lorry 10, which is provided with parallel-working arms 13 for handling load containers 16 which are transportable on the platform body 11 of the vehicle and can be set down on the ground. The unit comprises a transverse axle element 18 at a distance below the level of the platform body 11, which element extends through frame parts 19 which are rigidly connected to the vehicle frame 20 and constitute the storage locations of the unit at the rear end of the platform body. A transverse reinforcement element 21 is additionally fitted above the axle element but below the level of the platform body 11. These two elements 18,21 form stress-absorbing stiffenings in the swivel arm unit. <IMAGE> |
