System which consists of a base element for the support of a sheet of paper or the like and of a rule for transverse alignment which can be displaced, being kept parallel to itself in the various positions. On placing the rule at the height at which it is desired to begin writing, the latter is perfectly aligned as it follows the template formed by the rule. Lowering the rule provides a new template for the second line of writing and so on in succession. It applies especially to the taking of notes in an ordered and well-presented manner. <IMAGE>
