A vessel especially a plate for storing, heating/cooking and serving food and which also in inverted position can be used as a lid to a second vessel of corresponding kind, said vessel having a brim (2) at which the brims (2) of the vessels (1) form contact surfaces and are provided with engagement members (3, 4), which when one vessel is placed against another vessel as a lid are intended to be brought in a first stable position of engagement with each other with their brims brought into close contact with each other. The engagement members (3, 4) are arranged in groups and that within each groups there are engagement members on different height levels, so that when rotating the vessels (1) relative to each other from said first stable position of engagement (3, 4) the engagement members (3, 4) in the respective groups are brought in a second stable position, in which the brims (2) of the vessels (1) between said groups are spaced from each other. |
