Submerged hydroelectric generator in artificial basin - uses duct holding turbine for turbogenerator for flow induced by falling water at inlet end

Concealed below the level of the water in an artificial basin is a duct (3) with a filter (4) over its entry end, below a stream (2) of falling water. This produces a current flow through the duct, to rotate a turbine (5) inside the duct. A generator (6) encloses teh duct at a position in line with the turbine. The delivery end of teh duct discharges beyond a vertical barrier below the water level. ADVANTAGE - Equipment can be installed without spoiling appearance of surroundings.
