<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a magnetic tape from being damaged by inhibiting the descent of a cassette holder by means of a locking member by locking the operation of a link mechanism when a cassette is insufficiently inserted into the holder. CONSTITUTION:As a cassette 8 is inserted into a cassette holder 3, the level- difference section 8a of the cassette 8 pushes a detection slider 12 in the direction of the arrow B and, when the cassette is completely inserted to a prescribed position, a groove section 13d formed in an engaging lever 13 moves to a position which is parallel with and matches a long hole formed in the cassette holder 3. If the insertion of the cassette 8 is insufficient and the slider 12 pushed by the cassette 8 stops in the middle of its prescribed moving range, the lever 13 does not also move for a prescribed rotational angle. When the cassette 8 is pressed down together with the holder 3 in such state, a pin 4a which is in the way of moving in the direction B is brought into contact with the contacting surface 13c of the lever 13 and the lever 13 is locked.</p> |
