PURPOSE:To reduce a required memory capacity by holding one-line data of character generator data in a register and introducing this data to a smoothing circuit and outputting data to display memory after smoothing processing. CONSTITUTION:A mode switching signal P is in the high level, and a switch 9 selects a terminal (a), and a write pulse WP is introduced to a terminal CK of a ternary counter 11 and a smoothing circuit 19. After a clear signal CL is introduced, the output of the counter 11 is 0 until the pulse WP falls. Consequently, the pulse WP is outputted from an output terminal Q0 of a selector 12 to a terminal CK of a register 6 during this period. The register 6 takes in CG data of a data pulse 5 by the rise of the pulse WP, and a line 1 of CG data is inputted from the output terminal Q0 to the circuit 19. Lines 2 and 3 of CG data are inputted from output terminals Q1 and Q2 to the circuit 19 in the same manner. These data are smoothed by the circuit 19 to output one line of data to a display memory. Hereafter, this operation is repeated. |
