<p>PURPOSE:To make an insulating material free from mechanical stress by moisture removing action by providing a no-electrode part not constituting porous electrodes around the outer peripheral part of an electrochemical cell and supporting the same by the insulating material. CONSTITUTION:An electrochemical cell 8 constituting of a proton conductive solid membrane 4 and the porous electrodes 5 and 6 provided oil each side thereof is set on the wall surfaces of a container 1 with an insulating materiel 9 interposed therebetween and with one side thereof in contact with the internal air of the container 1 and the other in contact with the external air thereof and direct current is applied to between these two porous electrodes 5 and 6. And a no-electrode part 8a not constituting the porous electrodes 5 and 6 is provided around the outer peripheral part of the electrochemical cell 8 and supported by the insulating material 9. As a result, moisture removing action makes the aforesaid insulating material free from mechanical stress, leading to a highly reliable dehumidifier.</p> |
