PURPOSE:To stabilize bleach-fixing and washing water succeeding thereto and to prevent the generation of a recoloration defect and desilvering defect by incorporating the ferric complex salt of an org. acid and sulfinic acid into a bleach-fix bath and continuously processing the photosensitive material while the aperture area of a tank is specified. CONSTITUTION:The color photographic sensitive material subjected to imagewise exposing is continuously processed by using the bleach-fix bath contg. >=1 kinds of the ferric complex salts of the org. acids e.g. ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid iron (III) ammonium and >=1 kinds of the sulfinic acids (e.g. the compds. expressed by the formula) at the time of processing the above-mentioned photosensitive material by using an automatic developing machine. Further, the photosensitive material is processed by confining the aperture area of a bleach-fix bath and/or washing tank or washing-substitutive stabilizing tank to <=0.05 at the time of the operation. Measures of providing a movable cap on the processing tank and transporting the photosensitive material by moving this cap or fixing a transporting rack to the liquid tank and providing the cap to the parts except the part where the photosensitive material passes may be adopted in order to decrease the aperture area. |
