PURPOSE:To realize the stabilization of a viscous coupling fluid by incorporating a specified phosphorus or chlorine compound additive into a base oil comprising a polyorganosiloxane fluid. CONSTITUTION:90-99.99wt.%, preferably 95-99.95wt.%, base oil (A) [an organopolysiloxane represented by the average unit formula (R1)aSiO(4-1)/2 (wherein R1 is a monovalent hydrocarbon group or a halogenated hydrocarbon group; a is 1.9 to 2.1) and having a viscosity at 25 deg.C of 500-500,000cSt, preferably 5,000-400,000cSt] is mixed with an additive (B) comprising either a phosphorus compound [any one of (a) to (d) mentioned below] or a chlorendic acid diester of formula III, thus giving a viscous coupling fluid composition. Said phosphorus compound additive is selected from a phosphoric acid ester, etc., (a) of formula I (wherein R2 is a monovalent hydrocarbon group; b is 1 to 3; c is 0 or 1; X is 0 or S), an acidic phosphoric acid ester, etc., (b) of formula I, a reaction product (c) of a hydrocarbon with phosphorus sulfide, and a composition (d) obtained by neutralizing a reaction product of a hydroxylated triester of a dithiophosphoric acid of formula II and a phosphoric acid compound, etc., with an amine. |
