PURPOSE: To obtain a medicinal agent with release of the active substance uniformly delayed overall in high reproducibility by bringing a medicinal agent comprising a compression-molded matrix composed of the powdery active substance and an auxiliary into contact with lower alcohol vapor. CONSTITUTION: A compression-molded mixture as solid matrix composed of a powdery active substance and a powdery acrylic ester polymer or vinyl ester polymer as auxiliary insoluble to the body fluid [at least gastric juice (pref. plus intestinal juice)] existing at a site to be applied to, is exposed to a vapor phase consisting of a lower alcohol, pref. a 2-4C alcohol, esp, ethanol to obtain the objective medicinal agent with release of the active substance uniformly delayed. The acrylic ester polymer is pref. a homopolymer or copolymer made from >=3wt.% of a (meth)acrylic 1-8C(pref. 1-4C)alkyl ester and <=70wt.% of anα,β-ethylenically unsaturated comonomer copolymerizable therewith.
