<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a color separation filter layer on the surface of a color separation filter from delamination of resin or deformation of the resin due to contact by forming a shape of an external periphery of a cut chip for the color separation filter layer to be larger at its rear side than at its front side for forming a picture of the color separation filter. CONSTITUTION:In a chip-shaped color separation filter having a stripe or mozaic color separation filter layer 2 formed on a glass base plate or a solid-state image pickup element 1, a shape of the external periphery of the cut chips is made stepwise or taperingly larger from the color separation filter layer side 2 toward the rear side thereof. By this constitution, a resinous part at an end surface of the color separation filter layer can be prevented from contact in a handling stage of the color separation filter during post treatment. Thus, the resin of the color separation filter layer 2 is prevented from delamination and deformation.</p> |
