<p>PURPOSE:To prevent mounted another card from generating a malfunction or a failure by allowing a card to output a signal to a system bus only when a deciding means decides that positional information indicating the mounting position of the card is correct. CONSTITUTION:When a card 2 is mounted on an optional position of a mother board 1, a positional information deciding circuit 5 on the card 2 decides positional information indicating its mounting position formed by a positional information generating circuit 4 of the mother board 1. When the decided result is correct, an output buffer enable signal 5A is applied to an output buffer 6 and an output signal is outputted from the card 2 to a system bus through the buffer 5, and at the time of incorrect decision, the output signal is not outputted to the system bus. Even when the card 2 is mounted on an incorrect position of the mother board 1, a signal on the system bus is not disturbed and no influence is exerted upon the operation of another card.</p> |
