PURPOSE:To permit the floating movement of a small-size sandy sludge remover even in a shallow sedimentary sand basin by a method in which part of a float to support a sand pump freely movable vertically under water is notched in such a way as to enable the sludge feed pipe of the sand pump to move under or above the water surface. CONSTITUTION:A sandy sludge dredger for a sedimentary sand basin of a small size is made up of a underwater sand pump 4, a support bar 7 to operate the pump 4, and a float 1 to float up the underwater sand pump 4 to the water surface. During the floating movement, the sand pump 4 is lifted up and housed in nearly central part of the float 1 by a winch 3 and thereby the water depth is minimized. Thus, the pump 4 is easy to move and is lowered to a sandy sludge layer 12 by a winch 3 during the dredging period to obtain a dredging depth (h2) under the water surface. Also, by notching part of the float 1, the sludge feed pipe 6b of the underwater sand pump 4 can be freely moved under or above the water surface. |
