PURPOSE:To make biosensors suitable to mass production and to attain low cost by a constitution wherein a reference electrode incorporates at least a binder component and metal powder and all thin film electrodes constituting the sensor incorporate at least binder components. CONSTITUTION:The following materials are desirable as a binder component; material required for solidifying metal powder and other necessary components; and material which can impart suitable viscosity in applying and printing methods as a thin film forming means. Acrilic resin, polyvinyl butyral resin and other radical polymerization resin are used singley, or two or more kinds are used together. Solvent, thermosetting accelerating agent and other material can be added as required. As the metal powder, material whose electrons can be given and received reversibly and stably between the metal and metal compound can be used, and silver, gold and platinum are desirable. It is desirable to form the thin films of electrodes by a printing method which is suitable for mass production. In is desirable that the quantity of the binder component constituting a reference electrode is 2-50wt.% in the thin film. |
