The invention relates to a joint assembly, especially for an axle steering device of a motor vehicle, comprising a metallic inner part (2), with a thickened portion (9) rotationally symmetric about a longitudinal axis (10), a mounting lug (3) and a rubber-metal body (4) situated between the latter and inserted with prestress. According to the invention, the rubber-metal body (4) contains an inner tube, preferably made of plastics material, which rests slidably on the inner part (2). The front ends of the joint assembly (1) are sealed off by sealing components (28, 29), which comprise bearing rings (30, 32 and 31, 33) and, between the latter, rubber walls (34, 35) vulcanised in in leaktight fashion. The bearing rings (30, 31) on the metallic inner part rest slidably on the front ends of the inner tube and prevent the material of this sliding layer from flowing away.
