<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a memory card from being inserted into the connector of a different kind by mistake or from being inserted in a reverse direction by providing the surface of the card with a groove classified by the kind of the memory card, and simultaneously, providing a protruding part corresponding to said groove in the connector. CONSTITUTION:The discriminating grooves 3 are provided on the inserting parts of the terminal surface and the reverse surface (terminal back surface) of the memory card 1, and the protruding parts 4 corresponding to the grooves 3 are provided inside the connector 2. The positions to be formed of the grooves 3 and the protruding parts 4 are different for every kind of the memory card, and because if the memory card is inserted into the connector of the different kind, the protruding part 4 in the connector strikes the edge part of the memory card, the misinsertion of the card of the different kind can be prevented.</p> |
