Control device for an installation movable by a pull-cord, especially for a stage curtain

A description is given of a device for controlling the movement of an installation which can be moved by a pull-cord by means of a motor, for example a stage curtain. The control device is characterised by at least one reflected light sampler which is directed on to the pull-cord and to whose output a motor switching device is connected, and by the use of a colourable pull-cord which is provided with coloured marks, contrasting with its base colour, at the points which run past the reflected light sampler in the respective positions of the installation which are to be controlled.
