In a cutting-off apparatus essentially consisting of longitudinal-blade shears, a supporting table (7) is provided following its shear table. A plate-manipulating device (9) is movable on the supporting table (7) in a reciprocating manner in the X-axis. At least one machining station (34) which can be moved back and forth in the Y-axis and can be moved into position in the Z-axis and has a punching tool (39) above the supporting table (7) and a die (44) below the supporting table (7) is driven in synchronism on a frame (2a) adjoining the shears in front of their blades. <IMAGE>
