<p>Attachments for a power turn (2) which power turn (2) has a frame having arcuate inner and outer sidewall portions (18, 16) and support plates (50, 52) forming extensions of the arcuate outer side wall portion (16) and on which are rotatably mounted a driving roll (6) and an idler roll (8). An endless belt (4) is journaled around the driving (6) and idler (8) rolls and is moved thereby. A cover (40) is mounted on the arcuate outer sidewall portion (16) to cover the outer portion of the endless belt (4) and an endless chain (80) secured thereto and has a main body portion and two removable end portions (60, 62). One end portion (60) covers a sprocket (88) of the driving roll (6) and portions of the endless chain (80) and the second removable end portion (62) covers a sprocket (88) of the idler roll (8) and portions of the endless chain (80) so that the removable end portions (60, 62) may be readily removed when it is desired to inspect these portions of the driving (6) and idler (8) rolls. The cover (40) has a top wall portion (48) on which are mounted a plurality of lugs (130), each of which has a support portion (136) spaced a distance above the top wall portion (48). A safeguard (100) has an arcuate side wall (102) with a plurality of lugs (120) mounted thereon, each of which has a support portion (124) and is positioned so that a portion thereof mates with an arcuate inner wall portion of said top wall portion (48) and the support portions (124) thereof are supported on the support portions (136) of the top wall portion (48). Bolts (140) and nuts (142) are used to secure the support portions (124, 136) together. The two removable end portions (60, 62) each have a support lug (144) mounted thereon adapted to be secured to a flange on the safeguard (100).</p> |
