PURPOSE:To successively feed an elastic ring to be automatically or semi- automatically fitted to a cylindrical body by connecting the second ring guide through a tapered part to the first ring guide thinner than the internal diameter of the ring and providing a recessed part, to which an end part of the cylindrical body can be mounted, in a point end of the second ring guide. CONSTITUTION:In the case of a device fitting a ring 5 to the periphery of a cylindrical body (piston) 1, the second ring guide 12, having a connection part 13 and a tapered part 16 gradually increasing a diameter till reaching a point end part 14, is connected to the first ring guide 11 having an external diameter smaller than an internal diameter of the ring 5. A recessed part 15, having a diameter larger than the cylindrical body 1 fitting the ring 5 and a fixed depth, is provided at the tip of the second guide ring 12. A ring stopper 17, slidably mounted to these first and second ring guides 11, 12, and a ring feed means, forcedly extruding this ring stopper 17, are provided, and the two or more rings 5, laminated on the ring stopper 17, are fed to a predetermined position in the periphery of the cylindrical body 1 through the first and second ring guides 11, 12. |
