PURPOSE:To improve a line feed accuracy by a method wherein a means for discriminating the change-over of a paper drive means is provided, and a paper feed amount of a platen is set larger than that of a tractor in the case of a push tractor feed. CONSTITUTION:A change-over gear 24 consists of a large gear which usually engages with a drive gear 26 and a small gear. A release layer lever 18 is rotated forward, whereby an actuator of a microswitch 23 is pressed down, a paper drive means is discriminated, and a control signal is transmitted to a line feed motor. On the other hand, with the rotation of the release lever 18 a change-over gear 24 by being pressed by a spring 25, and the small gear engages with a platen gear 17. Therefore, the drive force of the line feed motor is transmitted to the drive gear 26 and a drive gear 27, thereby driving a pin wheel 5 and a push tractor 2a to feed continuous paper 4. At this time, a gear ratio among the platen gear 17, the change-over gear 24, and the drive gears 26, 27 is adjusted so that a paper feed amount around the platen 1 is set 5-10% larger than that by the pin wheel 5 and the push tractor 2a. As a result, a line feed accuracy can be improved. |
