PURPOSE:To increase the utilization efficiency of material sheets, and reduce the cost of an electric double layer capacitor by forming each of the following in a rectangular type; a polarization sheet, a separator, a gasket, a collector, which constitute a capacitor element, and a conductive sheet stacked on the capacitor element. CONSTITUTION:A pair of sheet type polarization electrodes 2, 2, a separator 3 interposing between both of the electrodes 2, 2, a gasket 4 accommodating the electrodes 2, 2 and the separator 3, and collectors 5, 5 stacked on both surfaces of the gasket 4, which are constitution members of a capacitor element, are respectively formed in a square or rectangular type. Conductive sheets stacked on both ends of the capacitor element 1 are similarly formed in a rectangular type. In this manner, each constitution member of the capacitor element 1 and the conductive sheet are formed in the rectangular type by punching or cutting, thereby eliminating the loss generation of material sheet A, and improving the utilization efficiency of material sheet. |
