The brake with a rapid start device is for the multi-circuit braking system of a vehicle. It has air containers, protection valves, compressed air circuits, secondary consumers, and operational brakes with a 2/2 position valve. The 2/2 position valve (7) in the feed pipe (10) is connected to a second 2/2 position valve and both valves are controllably connected via the reservoir pipe (12) and the three circuit protection valve (4) with the reservoir circuit. USE/ADVANTAGE - Preumatic vehicle braking system in which the rapid start arrangement is switched off on attaining the necessary pressure and which can be made from standard parts.
