PURPOSE:To improve riding confort by disposing a mass damper of which specific frequency is set to be similar to the non-suspended resonance frequency outside the tube of an actuator to be movable along the axial direction of the tube. CONSTITUTION:For vibration of frequency over a suspended resonance range, a controller 28 commands a condition of a value C2 of a low damping constant. For vibration of frequency in a non-suspended resonance frequency range of a relatively high frequency caused by fine irregulalities on the road surface, the specific frequency of a mass damper 22 almost corresponds with a non- suspended resonance frequency, so almost all the non-suspended resonance is surely restricted only by the mass damper 22. Transmission of vibration by the non-suspended resonance to a vehicle is thus reduced largely. Vibration transmitted from the road surface to the vehicle is also reduced largely. For all the ranges over the suspended resonance range, therefore, transmission of vibration is reduced, thereby riding confort is improved. |
