Carrier for electrostatic image development and method of preparing it.

A carrier for an electrostatic image development comprising magnetic material particles covered with resin particles is disclosed. The carrier is prepared by applying a repeated impact force at a material temperature within the range of from 50 to 110 DEG C to a mixture of magnetic material particles having a weight mean particle diameter of from 10 to 200 mu m and resin particles having a weight mean particle diameter of less than 1/200 of that of the magnetic material particles.
