PURPOSE:To enhance charge rising speed, stability, and environment resistance by incorporating a specified imidazole derivative in a toner. CONSTITUTION:The developing toner contains the imidazole derivative represented by formula 1 in which each of R1 - R2 is H or 1 - 35 C alkyl and n is an integer of >=1. This derivative is useful as the charge controller of the toner, especially, as the charge controller of the positively chargeable toner, thus permitting the toner containing this invented imidazole derivative to have stable and uniform chargeability and to prevent agglomeration of the toner, fogging on an image, scattering of the toner, and the like even at the time of long successive uses. |
