<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a proper rear wheel steering angle by holding an engaging part having engaging members on its both ends at an engaging body displaced in accordance with front wheel steering angle, and engaging the engaging part with either positive- phase or negative-phase transfer member in accordance with car speed. CONSTITUTION:An engaging part 3 having engaging members 301, 302 on its both ends is held at an engaging body 2 displaced in accordance with steering angles of front wheels 176, 175. The engaging part 3 is displaced to the right and left in accordance with car speed by a car speed actuator 4. During low-speed travelling, the engaging member 301 is engaged with a negative-phase transfer member 5, and rear wheels 866, 865 are displaced to negative-phase in accordance with the steering angles of the front wheels. During high-speed travelling, the engaging member 302 is engaged with an in-phase transfer member 6, and displaced to in-phase in accordance with the steering angles of the front wheels. During medium-speed travelling, the engaging part 3 is held in null position, and the rear wheels 866, 865 are not displaced. The rear wheels 866, 865 are thus properly steered by means of the steering angles of the front wheels 176, 175 and the car speed, and thereby steering operation becomes easy.</p> |
