PURPOSE:To provide the subject medicine and ingesta containing an aqueous extract of a plant belonging to Fagaceae family Quercus genus as the active component, showing a sure effect and capable of simple and safe administration or intake over a long period in every day life. CONSTITUTION:A plant (e.g., Quercus acutissima, Quercus variabilis, Quercus crispula, Quercus serrata, Quercus stenophylla or Quercus myrsinaefolia) belonging to Fagaceae family Quercus genus is cut into pieces and immersed in 10-20 time amount of water for extraction. The resultant extracted solution can be taken, without further treatments and also can be taken in forms of a concentrated solution and of a powder prepared by spray drying or freeze-drying as a medicine or ingesta. The effect can be more improved by removing a tannin fraction from the extracted solution. The dose of the above-mentioned aqueous extract powder is within a range of 0.2-2g (tannin-free powder 0.1-1.5g) per one time and 2 times per day to an adult for prevention and 0.2-3g per one time (tannin-free powder 0.1-2g) and 3 times per day to an adult for remedy in case of oral administration. |
