An autofocusing system for a camera (1), wherein a defocus amount is detected by a light-amount-integration type detector means, depending upon which focusing operation is executed. The focusing operation is adjusted in a predetermined fashion if it is determined that photographic lens (2) is moved and/or the focal length thereof is varied while the light-amount-integration is executed.
