PURPOSE:To accumulate a bank note, with the damage note stamp surface positioned on the upper end in a simple structure by turning and displacing an article holder which has received a bundle of damage bank notes carried out from a horizontal transport path, with the transport direction side positioned on the upper end to be delivered to an upright transport path. CONSTITUTION:When a bundle P of bank notes is accomodated in an article holder a motor driving shaft 21a provided with a cam 22 makes one revolution in a predetermined timing. Subsequently, a pivotal lever 17 is moved at a predetermined angle to return to its initial position. The bundle P of bank notes held in a holder 11 is discharged in an upright position in such a manner that a surface 23 for damage stamp Pa of the end surface portion which was on the horizontal transport side is positioned on the upper end surface, and the bundle P of bank notes is delivered to an upright transport path 5. The empty holder 11 is returned to an article receive position and is on standby until the next bundle P of bank notes is carried therein. |
