PURPOSE:A shearing processing oil for a silicon steel plate with an excellent effect of giving a prolonged life to an edged tool, die, punch, etc. leaving no oil on the sheared portion and causing little burring on the sheared surface, which comprises as a main component a specified chlorofluro-hydrocarbon. CONSTITUTION:The purpose shearing process oil for a silicon steel plate is prepd. by incorporating as a main component at least one ohlorofluoro-hydrocarbon of the formula (wherein n is 2-8; x is 1-16; y is 2-16). The example suitable for the compd. of the formula includes a hydrocarbon compd. saturated with halogen such as 1,2,2-trichloro-1,1,2-trifluoroethane, 1,1,2,2-tetrachloro- 1,2-difluoroethane or a 1-chlorotrifluoroethylene oligomer. |
