PURPOSE:To enable the proper correspondence to the variation of tension by numerically displaying the preset value of the tension in a dancer rolling device for controlling the tension of a printed material such as synthetic resin film. CONSTITUTION:When a printed material 1 is an extensible material, the data for the elongation of the printed material 1 is determined by experiments, and this data is inputted into the control part of a motor 33 as an initial value. The rotary driving source 33 of a screw shaft 29 is operated to rotate the screw shaft 29, which moves a weight 31 in the axial direction of the screw shaft 29 through a nut 30 spirally engaged with the screw shaft 29 to give a load to a dancer roll 3, and the tension is preset. The position of the weight 31 is detected by a contactless switch 38 as a position detecting means for the weight 31, and the detection result is outputted to a numerical display board 39. In the display board 39, the preset value of the tension is calculated from the position of the weight 31 and numerically displayed. |
