METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR HEATING OR HEAT-TREATING POWDER OR GRANULES

PURPOSE:To uniformly dry powder or granules with min. heat energy by putting the powder or granules and far IR radiating granules having a shape by which the granules can be physically and automatically separated from the powder or granules in an apparatus and by mixing the powder or granules with the granules while feeding hot air into the apparatus. CONSTITUTION:When powder or granules P are dried in an apparatus 7, the powder or granules P and far IR radiating granules 12 having a shape and dimensions by which the granules 12 can be physically and automatically separated from the powder or granules P are put in the apparatus 7. The powder or granules P are mixed with the granules 12 while continuously feeding hot air into the apparatus 7 and they are stirred to dry the powder or granules P. The powder or granules P can be uniformly heated or heat-treated with min. heat energy without deteriorating the quality or characteristics.
