PURPOSE:To prevent pinholes from being generated in wet-heat environments by providing a recording layer and a hardened layer comprising a polymerizable monomer and an organic solvent-dispersible silica powder as main constituents, on a base to produce an optical recording medium. CONSTITUTION:An inorganic protective film 2a, a recording layer 3 and an inorganic protective film 2b are sequentially provided on a base 1a by sputtering or the like. Next, a chemical ray-curable resin composition 4 consisting mainly of a polymerizable monomer and an organic solvent-dispersible silica powder is applied uniformly to the protective film 2b, and is cured by irradiation with UV rays 6 by use of a UV lamp. After the cure, a UV-curable adhesive 5 is applied uniformly to the cured composition 4, and a base 1b is placed in close contact with the upper surface of the adhesive 5. Then, the adhesive 5 is cured by irradiation with UV rays 6 by use of a UV lamp, thereby obtaining an optical recording medium. |
