PURPOSE:To simplify the calorimetric job by selecting number of a color patch subject calorimetric processing so that number of color patches by the combination of yellow Y, magenta M, cyan C and black K is selected so as to have a specific relation with a density by black K only thereby obtaining a value of its color expression system. CONSTITUTION:If the level of a black K is large, the ratio of the combination of Y, M, C is decreased and the remaining is compensated by interpolation, resulting in very less error after interpolation. The principle is utilized, and as the black color level K is increased, the number of color patches is decreased to reduce the actual calorimetric color number. That is, the color patch number is reduced to obtain the relation of N(km)<=N(kn) exists in the case of D(km)>D (kn), where N(k) is number of color patches by the combination of yellow Y, magenta M, cyan C and black K with respect to a variable of the black K and D(k) is the density by black K only. The value of the express color system corresponding to the color patch to be reduced is deducted based on the expressed color system of the color patch already measured for the color. |
