PURPOSE: To enhance NOx removal efficiency of the catalyst by using titania which has specified porosity and consists of an anatase phase, as a support and supporting a catalyst component selected from V2 O5 , MoO3 , WO3 , Fe2 O3 , etc., on the support. CONSTITUTION: The preparation of this catalyst comprises: forming titania which consists of an anatase phase and has 0.05 to 0.5 cc/cc porosity of micropores each having a <=600 Å pore diameter, 0.05 to 0.5 cc/cc porosity of macropores each having a <=600 Åpore diameter and <0.80 cc/cc total porosity of the micropores and macropores, into a formed titania porous support; and on the formed support, supporting a catalyst component selected from V2 O5 , MoO3 , WO32 , Fe2 O3 , CuSO4 , VOSO4 , SnO2 , Mn2 O3 , Mn3 O4 and their mixtures, in a catalytically effective amount or in a 25 wt.% ratio based on the total weight of the catalyst. |
