TEXTILE FINISHING PROCESS BY THE HIGH FREQUENCY

A textile such as woven, knitted and nonwoven fabrics is finished to form permanent crease. Thus the fabrics is filled in a vessel having low dielectric loss (glass or porcelain tube). The high frequency voltage is applied to the vessel which is located between high frequency electrodes. The temp. of the fabrics between the eletrodes is raised suddenly and uniformly to be followed by heat-setting at 120-160oC to form permanent crease.
