PURPOSE:To produce musical tones of assigned pitches and ample power of expression by controlling the musical tones having the assigned pitches so as to be generated at the characteristics instructed by a musical tone characteristic instructing means. CONSTITUTION:The time when AD data exceeds a prescribed set value, i.e. a lower limit level or on-threshold level is regarded as the start of sound production. The three samples; the AD sample N when the data exceeds the above- mentioned level and the samples N-1, N+1 before and after the same, are used and the change rate or difference thereof is determined and is used as response data, i.e. initial data. The data is transferred to a sound source 4 and the sound production processing is executed in accordance with the data of the present KEY SW2 (pitch data). The musical tones having the assigned pitches assigned by the pitch assigning means are effectively generated and controlled in this way. |
