PURPOSE:To obtain the subject stable yarn free from generation of white powder by using nylon 66 multifilament having specific birefringence and elongation at break and applying a lubricant containing an ethylene oxide adduct and a specific liquid higher fatty acid to the multifilament. CONSTITUTION:The objective nylon 66 yarn is composed of a nylon 66 multifilament having a birefringence of 0.035-0.045 and an elongation at break of 50-100% and is coated with 0.3-1.5wt.% (based on the filament) of a lubricant containing (A) 3-18wt.% of an ethylene oxide adduct such as an ethylene oxide adduct of a higher alcohol, polyethylene glycol and polyoxyalkylamine ethylene oxide adduct, (B) 4-30wt.% of a liquid higher fatty acid having 2-20C alkyl group (e.g., propionic acid) and (C) 93-52wt.% of a smoothing agent (e.g., mineral oil) and an antistatic agent (e.g., an imidazoline compound). |
