<p>PURPOSE:To improve dimensional accuracy of general shape steels by calculating an actual value of deformation resistance of a preceding rolled stock for each rolling pass, comparing the calculated value with a set value, correcting a set rolling schedule based on the difference found by the above comparison and correcting a rolling schedule by an actual value of deformation resistance before rolling. CONSTITUTION:In a 1st stage of rolling control, an actual value of deformation resistance of a preceding stock is found by finding an actual drafting amount and an actual rolling load for each rolling pass and averaging the above amounts and loads. In a 2nd stage, a set value of deformation resistance of the stock in a set rolling schedule is corrected by use of the value found in the 1st stage and a rolling schedule based on the set value is also corrected. In a 3rd stage, for rolling passes more than one and less than half of the total passes and in the upstream side from the final pass, an actual deformation resistance value is found based on actual drafting amounts and actual rolling loads for a present stock in rolling passes being in the upstream side from the said later passes and a set value of a roll drafting position for the present stock is further corrected by the actual deformation resistance value.</p> |
