PURPOSE:To prevent uneven electrification, by operating a charger only when an electrostatic image carrying belt rotates in order to form an image. CONSTITUTION:When recording of 1 line portion of a facsimile signal is requested, or a continuous driving signal is inputted, a driver 23 drives a step-motor M, and rotates a dielectric belt. At the same time, an AC charger 6 and a DC charger 7 operate, the belt surface is charged uniformly, and in accordance with picture information, a recording head 8 destaticizes the belt surface and forms an electrostatic image. When the recording operation is not executed, the chargers 6, 7 do not operate, therefore, a specified part of the stationary belt surface is charged strongly, and no uneven picture is generated. |
