PURPOSE:To stably and industrially advantageously produce the title protein.peptide by irradiating a solution of protein.peptide with light in the presence of a flavin pigment. CONSTITUTION:A solution obtained by dissolving a protein.peptide which is a polymer of amino acid having at least one peptide bond in an inert water or organic solvent is irradiated with a laser beam, preferably radiated from argon lump and having 488nm wavelength in the presence of a flavin pigment (preferably riboflavin, etc.) preferably expressed by formula I or formula II (R1 and R4 are alkyl or substituted alkyl; R2, R3, R5 and R6 are electron donating groups or electron attracting groups) to crosslink the protein.peptide and an unnecessary protein.peptide is separated by gel filtration method to provide the aimed protein.peptide. |
