<p>PURPOSE: To make production simple and to improve embedding hard particles into a metal matrix, by providing a polishing strip made by coagulating from a melted matter into a foil metal strip with a prescribed thickness and fixing hard particles into the metal matrix during coagulating. CONSTITUTION: This polishing strip, which is coated on one side with hard particles to act as a polishing agent and embedded in the metal matrix, is coagulated from a melted matter and contains a foil metal strip with the maximum thickness of 1mm. The hard particles are fixed into the metal matrix during coagulating. A known melting spinning process is especially preferable for the production of this new strip. For the metal matrix, a preferable result can be obtained at least by using an alloy containing at least one element from VIII A group, at least one element form IVA, VA, or VIA groups, at least one element from boron, carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, silicon, and phosphorus.</p> |
