PURPOSE: To integrate a flat power cable by providing a series of spring contact arms projecting forward from a terminating portion. CONSTITUTION: After a contact 16 is installed in an enclosure 18, a plurality of posts 22 projecting toward the rear from the contact 16 are bent squarely and inserted in corresponding holes 24 of a printed circuit board 20 and soldered. In an enclosure 14 of a middle adapt-assembly 10, there are upper/lower plastic lids hinged at both ends of the fitted surface. After the middle adaptor terminated in the flat power cable 12 is fixed between the upper/lower lids, the upper/ lower lids are latched into a rear surface (cable receiving surface). Spring arms 70, 72 of the contact 26 projecting forward in a braid receiving cave portion 28 of the enclosure 14 become a receptacle receiving the front edges 30 of the contact 16 when uniting. |
