PURPOSE:To obtain a dermal composition, having a spherical shape with a double structure containing an oily phase part as an inner phase in the interior of an outer phase consisting of an aqueous phase containing an alkaline earth metal alginate and useful as cosmetics, etc. CONSTITUTION:A dermal composition consisting of an outer phase consisting of an aqueous phase containing an alkaline earth metal alginate (e.g., obtained by reacting an alkali metal salt, such as sodium alginate, with an alkaline earth metal, such as calcium) and an inner phase consisting of an oily phase part (e.g., an oil, such as hydrocarbon oil or low-viscosity silicone resin) insoluble in the outer phase. The above-mentioned composition is spherical and exhibits a specific double structure in which the inner oily phase is surrounded with a gel of the outer aqueous phase, good in stability and excellent in feeling of use. A dermal nutrient agent, skin beautifying component, ultraviolet ray absorber, perfume, preservative, antioxidant, colorant, etc., can be blended in the aforementioned composition for utilization as a cosmetic base. |
